Kalkan environment
Oludeniz
Ölüdeniz is best known for paragliding from Mount Babadağ (1969 m high) and for its beautiful Blue Lagoon. There is a large pleasant shopping street with many clothing and souvenir shops. restaurants and bars.
Chalish
Çalis is a real seaside resort with a long sand and pebble beach and has its own pleasant boulevard with restaurants and shops. Special on this beach are the sea turtles that come to the beach at different times to lay their eggs. The Careta Careta turtle is protected in Turkey. Caliş is attached to Fethiye and there are good bus connections to and from Fethiye, but also to Ölüdeniz. The boulevard of Caliş is very cozy with restaurants but not crowded with bars like in Hisarönü. You can watch beautiful sunsets in Çaliş.
Kayadorp/Kayakoy
Kayadorp or in Turkish Kayaköy is an old abandoned ancient city where the Christians (the Greeks) and the Muslims (the Turks) lived together in good harmony for years. Around the 1st world war, a treaty was concluded "the treaty of Lausanne" which stated that all Christians in Greece and all Muslims had to live in Turkey. The city was abandoned and was later largely destroyed by an earthquake in 1957. In the valley it is very quiet and time seems to have stood still. Here you will find beautiful accommodations to rent. There are some small supermarkets in Kayadorp, but peace and nature is what dominates here.
