Çalis is a real seaside resort with a long sandy and pebble beach and has its own pleasant boulevard with restaurants and shops. As befits a seaside resort, Çalis also has a large summer population and is quiet in the winter. Despite the crowds in the summer, Çalis has a relaxed atmosphere and offers excellent accommodation for families and couples. There are various hotels, apartments and villas for rent. Calis is actually directly connected to Fethiye. To reach the center of Fethiye you can of course use the dolmus or car, but for the walkers among us it is also doable, especially if you walk via the boulevard. In addition to the Dolmus, Fethiye is also easily accessible by water taxi, which makes it a rare trip. The water taxi and the Dolmus are not inferior to each other in terms of time.

Çalis is attached to Fethiye on the north side and has a 2 kilometer long boulevard. The promenade runs along the beautiful sandy beach that is slightly mixed with pebbles here and there. The beach is very long and extends far beyond Çalis. Special on this beach are the sea turtles that come to the beach at different times to lay their eggs. The Careta Careta turtle is protected in Turkey.

Calis is known for two exceptional present. In the summer a cooling breeze blows through Çalis and the beautiful sunset. The latter makes Çalis a romantic place for couples, who can enjoy the sun slowly sinking into the sea while walking on the beach in the evening.

There is no vibrant nightlife in Çalis. There are a few bars and discotheques on the boulevard, but Fethiye or Hisarönü is an option for the big work. There are a number of shops in Çalis, but for the real shoppers among us it is better to go to Fethiye, but there is a lively market in Çalis on Sundays.
